I had to attend a memorial this weekend. Was embarrassed to discover that I couldn’t fit into a very expensive suit I had bought at Barney’s without straining (the pants, anyway) and it was too late to go to a tailor. The overwhelming shame I felt over this, combined with the disgust I felt after viewing a particularly cherubic headshot taken of me at the Tumblr film meetup thingee, have inspired me to embark upon a regime. TIME TO GET HEALTHY, Y’ALL.

I read that the best way to control food intake, other than cocaine, is to keep a “food diary” of everything that you ingest. Henceforth, we will be beginning a new feature on this here blog, namely a FOOD DIARY…

Among the indignities:

— An hour plus to get from Sunset/Alvarado to a parking spot inside the stadium, a situation not helped by the inept parking staff steering everyone into ONE single-file lane and blocking off all potential turns into otherwise clear parking lot aisles where numerous open spaces were visible.

— Heat stroke from combination of 1pm start (thanks, Fox, for starfucking the Yankees and ensuring that all the Dodger games won’t be in prime-time), 95º temperatures and no shade.

— Half-hour plus lines to get food, with understaffed concession counters and multiple closed cash registers (you’d think that with a guaranteed sellout and playoff tickets going for 3x regular prices that the McCourts could spring for a few extra minimum-wage service staff; you’d be wrong).

— Being forced to stand for THE ENTIRE GAME because the fucking rally towel-waving morons seated in front of us refused to sit.

— 90 minutes to get out of the stadium and another hour-plus to get out of the neighborhood, due to the game ending at the precise moment that rush hour started, ON A FUCKING FRIDAY, no less.

Nevertheless, it was all worth it to see Ethier get that walk. GO AZUL!!!!!!!
