CURMUDGEONLY THOUGHTS ON THE NEW YEAR
You know how, when you were young and used to live in NYC, the first rule of social life was “never go to a bar or club on a Friday or Saturday because it’s total fucking amateur hour?” New Year’s Eve is like that times a thousand. See y’all on the other end of ‘11.

I always feel a little downcast when photos of exes pop up in my Facebook feed and they’re smiling and look so happy in a way that makes them look almost unrecognizable because they never seemed that happy when we were together and then I can’t help but wonder: was it me who used to make them so miserable?
